Line manager support

 

All Robinwood staff have a line manager assigned to support them throughout their employment and to help them develop within their role at Robinwood.

 

Line managers are keen to see that members of their line team enjoy their work and to feel engaged in it. They aim for every member of their team to feel listened to and supported throughout their work, with plenty of opportunity to develop and grow in their time at Robinwood.

Ongoing training opportunities at Robinwood

 

At each centre we have a training team made up of a manager and staff in range of different positions, including group leaders. This provides the opportunity for staff at all levels who are interested to get involved, to help decide on aspects of the training provided, including the allocation of money from the training budget.

Career progression opportunities

 

The best way to really understand what is involved with working at Robinwood is to deliver a Robinwood course for a group of children, and that is why everyone who works at Robinwood starts as a group leader, regardless of their previous experience.

Robinwood teams

 

We operate 8 different teams at each Robinwood centre, covering different aspects of provision for staff and for customers and general centre operation.

 

When new staff start working at Robinwood, the initial focus is always on group leader training and becoming a great group leader.

Staff consultation

 

We are always to consult with staff and listen to their views. We have different ways in which we do this. The centre manager responds to all the written comments, in a document published through the website.

 

We have survey meetings at which issues raised are discussed, which members of the leadership team attend. We then issue commitments made for developments arising from the staff survey at each centre.
