Be yourself – let your personality show, if your application makes us smile (or even laugh!) you are more likely to be invited to a selection.
Complete all sections of the application form.
Make us notice you – give us information about your experience working or volunteering with children as this is most relevant to the job.
Be clear and concise, but make sure the detail is there.
We will normally confirm receipt of an application form within a week and give further details of how your application will be proceeding.
Robinwood adheres to Safer Recruitment guidelines to ensure the safety of visiting children. All job offers made will be subject to receipt of two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
If we like your application form, we will have a short phone interview with you then you will be invited to attend a Robinwood selection day. These take place at the Robinwood Old School Activity Centre in Todmorden throughout the year.
Selection day tasks include:
1. Problem solving tasks.
2. A design task.
3. A group entertainment.
4. Leading an activity for a group of candidates and participating in activities lead by other members of the group.
The whole experience is also planned to be enjoyed by all involved and to provide plenty of opportunity to find out about Robinwood.
Most people find this a very worthwhile and positive experience – and even enjoy it!
