22 Oct Robinwood Charity Open Days 2018
We are really proud that our centre open days have once again been a massive success, raising over £8850 for charities chosen by the centre staff teams. This year the charities were:
Mountain Rescue, Greenmount wild bird hospital, Todmorden Age Concern and Alston Recreation Ground trust.
Always a popular day for local people, the open days offer people the chance to come and see the centre, have a go at the activities and find out what Robinwood is all about. Oh, and the cake stall is always a favourite at Dobroyd Castle.
This year the sun shone and lots of happy people came through the gates of Barhaugh Hall and Dobroyd Castle, excited and ready for having a go at the activities. Its lovely to see people so keen to come and see what happens on centre and get their feedback about what a lovely time they have had.
The staff teams made sure that the days ran smoothly and safely, and visitors all got a feel for how enthusiastic and positive our staff teams really are. We always get lots of great feedback about how great the staff are and the Open days are a popular fixture in the calendar for local people. We also get a lot of parents of children that have visited Robinwood with their schools coming to see what the fuss is all about.
Thanks to all the staff for working so hard to show the visitors what amazing things we do and raise so much money for charities. Roll on 2019 and a Cross Lanes Open Day!
